Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio

Child Custody

I have been divorced for 2 1/2 years. I was awarded sole custody of my two children. They are now 6 and 8. My and I have gotten along ok until he moved in with his girlfriend. Now he can't stand my soon to be husband and has been saying that he is abusive to me and other in the past. Which is a total lie. My ex has been treatening me via phone, certified mail and e-mail. We recently went to court and my attorny advised me to accept my ex' shared parenting. Which I didn't want to but did. My ex's girlfriend is drilling my kids on everything that goes on at our house at every visit. Now my ex has treatend to take me back to court for custody of our son because he say's that I have put my kids injeapordy because my soon to be step daughter has cancer. She is 6. Also he says that my sons behavior is not allowable. I have both of my kids in therapy because they are scared of things that go on at their dads. but my ex is making up all kinds of lies. There is alot more to this. But what can I do to stop his harrasing and keep my kids. They hate going there. I have to force them

thank you

Re: Child Custody

I have seen this type of stuff before and I can tell you that ultimately it would appear that you will need the help of more than a therapist. You need to get the kids to see a psychologist who may lend a diagnosis or at least have more input with the court than a therapist. Your must document everything and maybe you should consider recording all conversations you have with you ex husband (it is legal). Steve

Re: Child Custody

Your question presents issues which cannot be adequately addressed via the internet. You should meet with an attorney so that the issues raised in your particular situation can be appropriately addressed.

Unfortunately, custody disputes present many issues and are very taxing emotionally and physically. Document everything.
