Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio

child custody

Father filed complaint for custody in Ohio. I moved to Missouri on 11-20-08. I have a Florida custody order from when I lived in Florida. He also claimed some sort of abuse and said I have no regard for childs mental and physical well being stating childs education is being hampered. How do I dispute jurisdiction and prove there is no abuse?

Re: child custody

Normally, a party needs to contest custody with the court that originally granted custody, unless that court has already authorized a transfer of jurisdiction. Regarding the allegations against you, the burden is on the party making them to prove them. However, the other party should be prepared to defend them. I suggest to contact an attorney for more considered advice.
