Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio

child custody laws

(Ohio) Are there any laws currently in effect giving grandparents custody of grandchildren even though the young mother is married and providing a good home for them ?

Over possessive grandparents are intimidating their young daughter and trying to gain custody of their grandchildren. They say there are grandparent visitation laws which allow them to take the children whenever they wish even over the objections of the mother. In the past the grandparents visits have turned into an exchange of custody and required force to retake the children.

Re: child custody laws

If there is no court order giving the grandparents rights then they have none.
