child custody/ child support

I need to know how to file for custody of children without having a large fee. and I also need to know if i can be order to pay support for said children if the children are with me half of the time plus i already help with basic needs(clothes,meds,school,food etc.)

Filing for custody is easy and cheap. The expensive part happens when your spouse get's a lawyer and starts fighting you. Then your lawyer needs to do some work to ensure you are properly represented.

Regarding child support: You may be ordered to pay. If your income is higher than your spouses, you will most likely be required to pay regardless of whether you provide the basic necessities.
