Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio
Child safety
My step-son is living in Ohio with his mother and biological grandparents. The grandparents take care of him while his mother is at work. His grandfather has some issues with depression and once kept my step-son's mother on the phone all night threatning to kill himself. His grandmother is an alcoholic and has had atleast 1 DWI.My husband has not seen my step-son in three years due to economic hardships due to the expense of traveling from texas to ohio. My husband is concerned about his well being. Will these circumstances be grounds for possible custody to be handed from my step=son's mother to my husband and myself

Re: Child safety
Ordinarily, the cirmcumstances you describe could be reasons to change custody, but that is an expensive proposition. The fact that the father has not seen the child in 3 years is not a positive factor. Good Luck.
