Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio

child support arreages

My son's father owes over $2,000 in back support, which is included in the small amount he pays each month. What I want to know is that since he just sold his house for over $300,000 and made quite a good profit off of it, is if I can sue him for the back support so he has to pay me the full amount he owes?

Re: child support arreages

Chances are that if he is already paying off the arrearages via a wage attachment, the court will not hear any further claims against him. Generally, one shot windfalls are not factored into his income for child support calculation purposes.
