Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio
child support and court ordered medical bills
My ex husband is working under the table-how do I prove what he is making? Lake County seems to do nothing and I have racked up $7k so far in attorney bills trying to show what my ex is earning-courts lowered my child support with the personal tax forms my ex brought to court and he has not paid court ordered medical bill in almost 2 years. He throws away the certified receipts and marks the court and attorney mail as return to sender or does not acknowledge or show in court anymore.

Re: child support and court ordered medical bills
A parent who doesn't comply with the child support order can be brought back to court for contempt of court. You need evidence, for example, the returned certified letters, proof of non-payment, etc. Even though you have spent a lot in legal bills, an attorney should help you with this. Usually, a parent or spouse does not want to face court on contempt, particularly if income is being hidden and that fact could be exposed.
