Child support

My daughter turns 18 May 8th of 2009 and due to this child support is suppose to expire. I have already received termination papers. What I need to know is would the courts extended the order until she graduates from High School? She will graduate in June of 2010. I am just trying to determine if it is really worth getting a lawyer. I don't want to waste money if it will not make a difference. I guess I should have not assumed it would be thru high school.
