Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio

Child Support

My ex-wife decided after our divorce that she did not want to work and support our two children. She was awarded custody. I was ordered to pay child support. She jumped on the Welfare role for a period of about two years. During her time on the dole, she commited welfare fraud. The State of Ohio has determined that I owe the amount of $16,000.00 to repay her welfare tab. Is this legal? Do I have recourse?

Re: Child Support

Unless you are a "co conspirator" you should only be responsible for the child support owed.

Good Luck.
