child support

my husbands' ex wife lives in north carolina. we live in ohio. she is now after seven years of divorce seeking child support. she came to ohio to do so. does my husband owe back support from the time of the divorce in 1997, if it was never established in the first place? it was never addressed in the divorce papers.

Child support is always open to redetermination. She will have to prove she's entitled to it back to the time of the divorce however.
