Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio

Child Support

I have an intial child support hearing and this is all new to me. What do I need to know going into this? Would it be wise for me to find an attorney to go into this with?

Re: Child Support

The courts want to see the parents' monthly incomes which are reflected in income tax returns or recent pay stubs. They also want to see the health insurance coverage for the children. If you and your spouse have sufficient assets or if there is disagreement over your respective child support obligations, you may want to retain an attorney.

Re: Child Support

You need to provide copies of your most recent paystubs, past 2 years tax returns, evidence of child care expenses paid or expected to be paid, and proof of amount and frequency of health insurance premiums paid for the children. All recurring sources of income including interest and dividends must be shown.
