Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio

Child support and leaving the state

In our dissolution the state agreed to no child support due to the shared parenting plan. I now wish to move out of the state and back home. I plan on having the children during the summer and vacations (I will pay for them to get here and back) My ex makes a substantial amount of money more then me, so we have decided to draw up a plan that states that child support will still not be require with me being out of state. We will still have the other expendure agreements in place (ie: clothes school supplies and after school actives) this will all be notarized. My question is that can the state come back at me for not going through them. I resent that the state feel it must be involved, and take their percent. Also, if my ex starts to resent that I moved back home is this notarized document legal if he tries to say I abandoned the children?

Re: Child support and leaving the state

Based on your response it seems like there are a lot of issues here. First, you need to have an agreement drawn up that protects your rights and prevents you from having to pay child support. Second, your ex can always go to court in an attempt to get support. Whether or not he will be successful is another question.
