Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio

child support

I made the mistake of paying my ex money in stead of going through child support.Now i'm in trouble and have court on tuesday with possible jail time when i have been supporting my son,and my ex wont admit to anything.I'm supposed to see my every other weekend and holidays and a month in the summer.I only get to see him five times a year because my ex says he needs to spend time with his friends.I will drive 80 miles to pick him up and he wont be there. Its may and i have only had him once!My son is fourteen and is a good boy.My ex tells him im a slut and a horrible mother and when i do get him he is so disrespectful to me unless im spending money on him.Im rambling sorry there is just so much more that i could tell you. Im broke unemployeed and facing court with no proof of the money i gave him what do i do?

I believe you are facing a contempt allegation. Since there is the possibility of jail time, the Court will appoint you an attorney. Make sure to ask about that. Best regards, Edward DiCato
