Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio

Child Support when Visitation Has Changed

I was divorced in June of 1997 at that time my ex husband and I agreed on joint custody of our two boys. I was to have them 3.5 days per week and he would have them 3.5 days per week. We agreed to no child support since we would have them equal amounts of time. Since then things have drastically changed. I now have the boys everyday except for Sundays which is his day. I am now remarried and a stay at home mom so I am the fulltime parent. We have never changed anything with the court document though, just agreed to the changes verbally. I have requested that he start paying me child support and he has declined to do this. Is there a way to get a child support order with out a huge legal hassel? Would I be awared child support? Help I am stuck where do I go from here? What course of action is best? Thanks

Re: Child Support when Visitation Has Changed

In order to change the visitation order, you will need a court order. In order to modify child support go to the local CSEA and have them do it as that is their job. First and foremost, you will have to get the visitation changed.

Good Luck!!!
