Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio
i had my children for the last 7 month or so
i had my two small children for the last 7or 8 mounth and their mother had nothing to do with them then on my sons birthday i was nice to call her and she asked if we can go with her to have a small party so we did so and when i turned my head she took off with them i have been the main provider she doese not have a job and she lives in a drug house which has been proven i live on a low income and i can not aford a lawer but im am will ing to pay mountly payment to save my children from her i filed savral conplaints and i have gotten nowhere so i and asking you to help me get through this promblem

More information is needed in order to answer your questions.
Were you and the mother ever married? If so was there a divorce action?
If you and the mother were never married, have you been legally established as the father of the children?
Has there ever been any action in Juvenile court regarding custody?
If you have never been married to the mother you are most likely going to have to go to juvenile court and file for custody. If you are genuinely concerned for the well being of the children, you may need to ask welfare or the department of human services to step and take the children while you try to get things through juvenile court.
I doubt if the police will do anything unless you have an order saying that you have custody.
