consquences of adultery (mistress)

Is there a legal recourse, when adultery is proven, that the wife can take legal action against the mistress

Other than possible defamation, which would be hard to prove, there is nothing that can be done. Alienation of affection has been eliminated as a cause of action in Ohio since the mid 1970's. Unless you can prove some form of intentional tort or slander, it is best to move on.
