contempt
what does the court do when you are in contempt for not doing what the court ordered in a divorce case and how many times can i be in contempt before the do someting about it

They can do many things. Impose a fine, a jail sentence, order counseling, classes, etc. and more. Generally at the first hearing you will get a chance to "purge" a contempt by correcting the situation by being given extra time. But don't push them. They evaluate your attitude and degree of effort you have made, among other things. It really depends on the facts of the particular case. Best regards, Edward DiCato
