Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio

if a court order has been isuued for visistation, but the child (7 weeks old) is ill and has a doctors order to stay home with his mother. Is the mother in contempt of court if she keeps the infant home. time has been offered to the father at the mothers residence for the vistitation

In Ohio, if you want to be absolutely safe, you should file something with the court ordering the visitation to alter the scheduled visitation until the doctor says the child is capable of visiting. Otherwise, if the other party brings a contempt action, the doctor's orders would be a pretty good defense, but who knows how a court is going to rule sometimes.
