Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio

EX not following court set visitation times of pick up

We are legally dissolutioned as of Aug. 2001. My ex husband agreed to follow rule 27. Which states he is to pick up the kids at 6pm on Fri. and drop them off at 6pm on Sun.Keeping them for 48hrs. How ever he works second shift (Mon-Fri)and is unable to do this unless he has someone else do this on his behalf. He has not been willing to agree on a constant time on Sat. mornings to pick up. He just calls and expects to pick up the kids when it is conv. for him. How can I set a guidline up to have him follow since he can't follow what was set in court? He is in contempt of judges orders. Please advise.

The easiest way to get him to follow some rules is to wait 15 minutes past the time he is to pick up the kids and then make sure that you are not available.I imagine that you could go on some errands with the kids. Several jurisdictions give the noncustodial parent a 15 minute leeway.

Good luck!!!
