Custody after CPO

My ex-husband had a CPO placed against me for my son after an incident in my home. He currently has temporary custody. After the CPO is up, can I get custody back? He moved out of state so I'm not sure how I would get the ability to see my son again. Permanent custody was through the state of MS and was never altered. He disappeared w/ my son 3 years ago and I haven't heard from him since. Also, can he renew the restraining order against me if it has never been violated? I'm planning on taking my other children (with a different father) to a psychologist to be tested to prove I have never again used physical discipline (which I have NOT and will never again... lesson learned!). Will it help my case? I've ended up with PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) from this whole incident and would give anything in the world to see my child again. Please, please help me!

After the CPO, you can at least seek visitation privileges. I suggest not getting together evidence, for example, a psychologist's report, until you have discuss this matter with an attorney in the jurisdiction that has your case.
