Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio

custody of 10 month old baby

18 year old father of child received his 10 month old baby with a letter signed and dated, from his minor age ex-girlfriend. Saying he could have custody of the said child. She no longer wants him. Is this legal or does it need to be notirized to be legal. What is the time frame for abandonment in the state of Ohio.

He needs to go to Court and file for custody. He can use the letter as evidence that he should have custody. He will then have legal custody by a Court Order. If he is in or around Summit County He can call or e-mail me for a free consultation as I do these kinds of cases.
