Custody Transfer Of Sibling to Parent or Other Sibling

My mother has custody of my 16yr old brother I want custody changed to father or maybe myself I am 22yrs old. Can someone explain legal terms and conditions of this and how i could acheive it?

You have a few options here depending on the situation. If the parents were married and divorced, you would probably go to domestic relations court. If they weren't married you could either file a motion for custody in juvenile court or a petition for guardianship in the the probate court. There are some differences in the procedures. You really need to engage an attorney to discuss the particulars because several factors including whether the parties agree or not will determine the choice of forum.
