what happens when a cutiodal parent dies?

what do i do ? my ex has passed away and he had custody of our 11 yr old son which he and his new wife refused to let me see ? can i go get him back without lawyers?

You can try. However, you cannot get him without the intervention of the court. I suggest calling a lawyer. You'd save yourself a large headache... and the lawyer you end up hiring in the middle of a custody battle a large headache as well.
