Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio
Our daughter is an addict, she has walked out on her children (again). One child is 9 and one is 5. We have raised them for most of there lives. How can we go about obtaining temporary custody for such things as doctors appt. and school?

You need to file a motion for custody and an ex parte motion for immediate custody. If the mother and father are married you need to file in domestic relations court. If the mother and father are not married you need to file in juvenile court. You really need to speak to an attorney in you area and retain him or her to represent you. If you do it by yourself and lose your grandchild losses. It won't be inexpensive but neither is you grand child's well being.
