Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio

My daughter is pregnant. Her and the father of the baby are no longer together and we need to know if we have to keep the father involved with what is going on. He wants to be at every appointment and she doesn't want him there. How much rights does he have in this?

In Ohio, he doesn't have any rights until he establishes paternity. This is usually done through a lawsuit in the juvenile court. If he does not bring that lawsuit and your daughter seeks public assistance, the Child Support Agency will want to know his name and address and will go after him for child support.
