Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio
My daughter's father just recently came into her life 3 years ago and he lives in Alaska and since he has to pay child support he wants her to fly there with people she doesn't know. Of course, I won't agree to that and I asked my daughter who is 6 if she even wanted to go and she said no, that he could call her. Do you think the courts will side with him and make her go? I'm not saying he cannot see her but he is in the Army and I feel that she shouldn't have to fly there especially with strangers. To me, that is dangereous in this crazy world we live in. Thank you for your time and reading this.

He will probably get some kind of visitation granted him. You would have to show that there is some danger to the child or that he is not a fit father. You might be able to restrict the visitation, maybe make him come here. I can't tell without more details. Feel free to contact me to discuss further If you wish (free consultation). Ed DiCato
