Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio

Define Cohabitation between unmarried persons

Here is the scenerio....I have been dating a lady who is going through a divorce. On weekends and sometimes during the week she invites me to come stay at her house. Her divorce is not finalized as of yet and her (lets call him EX) EX says that what we are doing is called COHABITATION. I have looked it up in dictionaries but all I get is the definition of "to live together as husband and wife". Her EX is claiming that because of what we are doing he can claim that on the divorce and claim rights to ALL possessions. PLEASE send response to this as soon as possible....

Co-habitation with married woman

It may not be co-habitation, which probably involves more than staying together on weekends, but it certainly is "adultery," which in NC could prevent her receiving alimony. Have her ask her lawyer about it. Never take advice like this from the "opposite" party. I haven't worked with equitable distribution (division of property) in NC, but I don't believe that adultery has any effect on equitable distribution. But you'd better have her check with her lawyer to see if there's a problem.
