Re: devorice

Hello,

Based on the facts that you told me you have a good chance at getting a divorce. You can file for divorce and the grounds could be willful absence of the spouse for more than one year, which is seems like you have if you do not have an address for your wife. There may be additional grounds but I would have to know more.

The difficult thing is that you need to notify your wife that you are getting a divorce. This can be somewhat difficult if you do not have an address.

The best advice I can give you based on the limited facts you told me is that you should get an attorney. I do not know your financial situation but hopefully you can shop around and find one who is relatively inexpensive.

If this is not feasible then I would suggest going to your courthouse and talking to the clerk to see what forms you need to fill out. It is better to get an attorney because the process is smoother. I am not telling you this just to get you to hire an attorney but because I went through a divorce and having an attorney made everything a lot easier.

Please contact me through email if you have any further questions. I wish you the best.

Sincerely,

Dan Guinn, Esq.
