Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio
Disolution of marriage
My husband and I are ready to end our marriage, but dont want divorce unless forced. He is 63 and I 46 with no children between us. Can we disolve or no fault without the entire divorce procedure? If we are agreeable to peacefully split posessions and go our own ways. Things are very civil at this point. We are selling the house and just need to know about the legal endings. We cant really afford a lawyer. Is there a neutral legal aid that would represent us together or do I have to have my own representation. This is his 4th and my 2nd. Dont want divorce again if I dont absolutely have to. And, we have been married 7 1/2 yrs. Am I entitled automatically to half the house or does he not have to split with me. My name is not on deed. Thanks

Re: Disolution of marriage
Either you want to end the marriage or not. If you can agree to all of the terms and conditions of the separation, then you can do a dissolution. If not, then you need a divorce As to the house, it would depend it the house is a premarital asset or was purchased during the marriage.
I woould suggest very strongly that you contact counsel to protect your rights.
