Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio

dissolution

My husband who I have not lived with for 5 years is filing for a dissolution in Ohio. I live in Florida. The Ohio law states I must appear for the dissolution to go through. Am I able to waive my right to appear as long as I agree with everything in the dissolution papers?

Re: dissolution

You may hire an attorney to apprar on your behalf. The assent of both parties on the record is required for the dissolution to go through. Otherwise, it must be converted to an uncontested divorce.
