Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio

divorce custody batttle

My stepdaughter is getting a divorce and her husband is sueing for custody of children. Her and her husband BOTH are saying their attorneys are going to summons my 14 and 15 year old son and daughter into court. My question is, can Me and my X wife keep our children out of the court. WE together do not want them involved in their battles. Neither one of them want to be involved. Since they are both minors, Don't we as parents have a right to say whether they go into court or not??

You would need to convince the judge that it woild be harmful to them for them to testify. You should probably hire an attorney for that purpose.

You might be able to keep them from testifying in court. If they receive a summons, you will have to get permission from the court.
