Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio

Divorce and custody

My wife and I have been separated for two years. About a year ago she was sent to federal prison in another state. I am going to file for divorce and custody of the children who live with me. She will be very difficult and object. How will that work with her showing up in court?

Re: Divorce and custody

She would have to file a writ of habeas corpus (permission)to attend the proceedings, and if granted, then your divorce would proceed like any other divorce with children.
