The court won't do your negotiating for you. If you present yourself at court, the judge or magistrate will ask you if you feel the division is assets is fair and whether you would like to get an attorney to represent you.

You should hire a lawyer if kids or significant assets or debts are involved. I would suggesting contacting several that offer a free initial consultation. Feel free to contact our office if you are in the columbus area.
