Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio

divorce

My husband left me and my kids four months ago. Just walked out with no warning. He left me with all the bills and I ended up getting evicted. He is also sleeping with my cousin I found out. He does not see or talk to his kids or give him money. I have a few questions..

1. Do I have to prove adultery with pictures.

2. can cell phone records be subpeoned to court to prove adultery.

3. how does alimony work?

He recently abused me during all this and my kids witnessed it. I have not been able to work for a few weeks due to everything going on.. What are my rights as a parent and any suggestions for me.

Re: divorce

To get a divorce and, as part of the divorce, to get spousal support, it is not necessary to prove adultery. Alimony is granted to usually as temporary support to a spouse to needs time to get back into the workforce. Issues relating to abuse come into play over child custody and visitation.
