Divorce through the news paper

Is it possible to be considered legally divorced if you are to have an article published in a newpaper stating that you are looking for your wife who has diserted you? If I were to put an article is saying that she has left me and she doesn't answer the article within a month can I become legally divorced?

The short answer is no. The longer answer is that you can serve her with the divorce papers by publication if you have made reasonalbe efforts to locate her and was unsuccessful Service by publication is the least desireable because it it the most expensive and most time sonsuming way to serve someone. It must be done incident to a divorce in order to be valid.

MY suggestion is to consult with an attorney in order to preapre a strategy.
