Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio

Divorce; property awarded

I was awarded several items (furniture, photos, paintings) at the time my ex and I divorced. He wouldn't give them to me without involving the police and I didn't want to do that due to the affect it would have on our children. Our children are now grown and I have been asking for my property. Do I still have a legal right to those possessions? The divorce was in 1991.

Re: Divorce; property awarded

Depends on the language in your divorce decree - You may have to document the demands you made in your Motion to Show Cause in Contempt, and I wouldn't be surprised if the property has been disposed of.
