Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio

Divorce: Property

My husband wants a divorce and is giving me a deadline to be out of the house by. My attempts to be fair and share the house at separate times has failed. He believes that because I caused wrong doing in the relationship that he shouldn't have to leave. We bought the house before we married, but it is in both of our names. What are my rights to the property?

Re: Divorce: Property

The general rule for splitting property is 1/2 each. There are many exceptions. You don't necessarily have to leave the house. You need to get an attorney and someone has to file to get the case started. If you are in Summit County, I do domestic cases there. Please feel free to call or e-mail and I can give you a quote.
