Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio

Divorce settlement of 401K plan never completed

My divorce was final in Oct. of 2000. My ex and I agreed to split the monies in a 401K held by his employer. This is part of the final decree, however this has never been transferred to my sole possession.I have contacted the lawyer who I paid $300 to do the paperwork, and while her secretary says I am correct, nothing has been done. I can't afford to pay fpr this again. Do I contact the judge who signed the decree? Or what should I do? How do I do this?

If the attorney has not done what you have paid him to do call the local bar assn to complain. In order to transfer the funds, you may need a QDRO in which the 401(k) should have a sample.

Good Luck!!
