enfourcing a joint custody agreement
I have a shared parenting agreement with my son's father. It states that he should pay 50% of all the childs costs. There is no child support order,I was told by our local child support office that the only thing they could do for me is to order him to pay $150/mo and he claims him every year on taxes,no medical nothing.I do not work my husband supports our family (we have 3 other children)In the mean time the childs father has done nothing.The only thing I would like from the childs father is $25/wk child support and he pays 50% of any medical costs that my health insurance does not cover & I claim the child on taxes every year.The natural father has no address so that I can send him bills ect.What can I do.

Based on the information you have provided, I assume you were never married to the child's father, you are the custodial parent, and that the child does not spend any time with the biological father. With those assumptions, you are not limited to working with the child support office for relief. You may bring an action in the Juvenile Court to address the concerns that you have. If you were married to the father you would have to go to domestic relations court. The option is to go to Court to file for contempt. The problem will be serving him with the papers.
