Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio

establishing long distance companionship schedule

I am relocating out of state due to employment reasons. My son is two years old and currently I have him every weekend. My ex girlfriend and I have established paternity, child support, and the court advised us to come up with a visitation schedule and have it notarized and returned. It's been over a year and we have yet been able to come to an agreement. She feels the holidays should be with her, and allows me a day or two after. How do I go about establishing a parenting plan for out of state visits. I know she is not going to be happy about this.

Re: establishing long distance companionship schedule

You would have to work through the court to get it modified and/or enforced--a modification of your shared parenting plan. (Time with parents is considered parenting time and not visitation now.)
