Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio

Establishing paternity & getting visitation rights

My son and his fiance of 3 years have split up. She has now told him that the 1 year old child in the relationship is not his. My son would like to know how or who he talks to to go about getting a paternity test done and having visitation rights established. She has always led us to believe that the child was my son's and we don't know if she has said now that he isn't because she is hurt and mad or what. But my son really needs to find out if this is his son or not. He has been there for the baby from day one and this is really upsetting. Thank you for any advice you can give us . We just don't know what to do or who to turn to.

Re: Establishing paternity & getting visitation rights

He will need to go to the child support enforcement agency in the county in which the child or mother resides and ask them to file for a determination of paternity of the child. AFTER paternity is established he will need to file a motion with the court asking the court to establish parental rights and responsibilities.
