Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio

What to do if exhusband doesnt pay credit cards?

I live in Ohio. I am divorced.

In the divorce agreement I took nothing but past employment wages that I never received. (I worked for my ex)

He in turn was to pay the credit cards in my name off since they went to furnishing and such to a 2nd home. He has not paid and now collection agencies are after me. Is he in contempt of court? Can I do anything? Should I file bankruptcy so they can possibly go after him since they were used during marriage?

I have nothing. A used car, thats it. He has over $400,000 in cash and assets. (cash is from inheritance he recvd after the divorce). He has the money, just wont pay them. He has ruined me and my credit and I dont know what to do!

If the divorce agreement specifically requires him to satisfy the credit card, then you go back to Court to enforce that provision. Your attorney can file the proper papers. If you did not get an attorney, you need to get one now. Unless the credit card was in his name the company will look to you and you only. The credit card company was not a party to your divorce so they won't get in the middle. Sometimes, I have seen them made parties where the wicket is sticky.
