father not on birth certificate/fathers family causing problems

My daughters dad decided not to be on the birth certificate. I have been nice enough to lets his mom and dad see my daughter.Here lately she has been saying that I called her exhusband gay. Now she is saying that she has every right to come and see her granddaughter. I live with my parents and don't want her there because of all the stress. What are my rights and what can I do?

If you were not married, and he did not fill out the appropriate affadavit upon birth, then he and his family have no legal rights with respect to the child. If he decides to file a paternity suit and legally be recognized as the father, then he will be liable for child support. Please feel free to contact me if you have any further qurestions.
