Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio

Fathers rights when paying support

My husband has always paid child support, and we have purchased clothing, school supplies ect over the years. In the divorce papers they are to split the remaining bills not covered by insurance.

We have never pushed the point but now there is a $4000.00 outstanding bill. Her half would be $2000.00. Is there a way we can get the ex-wife to uphold her part.

Don't get me wrong my husband and I have no problem taking care of this child. We enjoy shoping and doing things and we have a good relationship, but we have been the main provider of school clothes and other extra curricular items over the years.

Example this year when school fees were due, we were picking the child up from school and paid them???

My understanding of child support was it was to be used to help raise the child.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The way to get her to live up to the order of the Court is to file contempt if she will not do it voluntarily.
