Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio

fathers rights

My son was born in 1990, I signed the birth certificate as his father and he has my lastname but his mother and I never married so we just ended up living together for 14 years. We bought a house together in 2000. Then she moved out in 2004

And we separated as a couple I didnt want to move and

I wanted to keep him in the same school so I bought her out

she received money from the house and bought another house in the same city later that same year (2004) I couldnt afford the house anymore and lost the house and I moved to another city in the jan 2008. Up until then we had a verbal agreement with each other and we would both take care of our son he would live with me half the week and her half the week and switch every other weekend but he was always with me he walks to school from my house so he would stay with me a lot I would pay for his lunches and school everything involved. Last week I got a letter from child support I have to take a paternity test

My sons going to be 18 in less then 2 months I have always taken care of him

But now since I moved this year I understand I am not the custodial parent anymore I may never been? How far back can she seek child support? The share parenting was never thru the court

Re: fathers rights

I'm not sure I understand the reason for the paternity test because, based on what you said as background, in Oklahoma, you are presumed the father by the state. If you suspect this is only a scheme to get financial leverage on you for support of the mother, I suggest getting an attorney; it sounds as if she has one or is being directed by someone.
