A felony as a minor

If I commited a felony as a juvenile, will this affect my record as an adult, preventing me from certain employment opportunities?

As a general rule, crimes committed as a juvenile cannot be used against you in subsequent adult criminal situations. However, that does not prevent employers from holding such things against you. What I think you should do is file a motion with the sentencing juvenile court to have your record sealed, so the details cannot be disclosed. You also need to be extremely careful in answering questions in interviews or on employment applications.
