Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio
I'm going for full custody of my son. My mother has temporary custody of him. My sons mother signed him over to her and her paperwork didn't say temporary. I signed temporary custody papers for her to have him. It has been 9 years and I want full custody of him. I didn't go for full custody before because of my mothers financial situation. Now she has a better financial situation and I want him. What are my chances of me getting full custody of him? I am the one who filed the papers to get him, not his mother. She wants him to stay with my mother. Does she have say on who he's with since she did not give up temporary custody but complete custody?

I believe that you can get full custody of your son. All your mother has is temporary custody of him. However, you need to show a good reason for why you want custody of the child and that it is in the best interests of the child.
