Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio
A girl I was seeing ended up pregnant a couple years ago, The issue being paternity is between me and at least one other guy. I'm not on the birth certificate and there's never been a paternity test done. She wants to give custody to her mother but is saying that the court told her a guy has to be subpoenaed to say that it's alright for that to happen. Is that really true or is she just lying again?

She's not lying.
A child born to an unwed mother is in the sole custody of the unwed mother, pending further order from the court.
Since there is no legal father, all possible fathers should be notified of the change in custody. Generally speaking, the father has a "superior" right to custody if he is fit.
