Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio
grandparent problem
Just found out that my 13 year old daughter has been permitted to call and receive calls from boys while over my ex husbands mothers house. Also, she has offered to take her to a restaurant where she wanted to see a 17 yr old boy at work and talk to him. I have custody and this is way past my boundaries and she knows it. My ex was shocked too but being it's his mother I doubt anything will change. This is a start of many more problems and I need to know if there is anything I can do. Her grandmother wants to be her friend and this is inappropriate in my opinion. What can I do? They are over her house all of the time while my ex is at work. Thanks for your help.

Re: grandparent problem
You should take control of this situation. You need to find out the extent of the truth. Nothing legally prohibits you from speaking to your former mother-in-law about this, for establishing boundaries and guidelines when your daughter is with her. Custody arrangements can be modified through the courts. I'm sure your former spouse doesn't want to spend the money that it would take to return to court. It's cheaper for both of you to speak to the grandmother.
