Guardianship

If I write the name of the person that I want to have legal custody of my child in the event that something happen to my husband and I; would the bible be considered a legal document in the court of law?

Re: Guardianship

Writing the name of your child's guardian in the event of you and your husband's death inside the Bible would be considered evidence of your intentions. If you want your intentions unequivocal in the eyes of the law, you and your husband should prepare wills that include a guardianship provision.
